Ingredients
- 5 apples – peeled, cored, and sliced
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 4 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 4 large eggs
- 2 cups white sugar
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
- 4 teaspoons white sugar (for topping)
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch pan.
- Sift flour, salt, cinnamon, and baking powder together.
- In a large bowl, beat eggs and sugar on high for 2–3 minutes until light. Add oil and mix well.
- Add flour mixture; stir until combined. Add vanilla and fold in apples and nuts.
- Pour batter into the pan and sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the top.
- Bake for 50–60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool for 20 minutes before slicing.
