Description

  • Classic Italian Wedding Cookies are buttery almond cookies rolled in powdered sugar. Soft, crumbly, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious, perfect for holidays or weddings.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup confectioners’ sugar
  • ¾ teaspoon salt, or to taste
  • 1 ½ cups finely ground almonds
  • 4 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups sifted all-purpose flour
  • ⅓ cup confectioners’ sugar, for rolling

Instructions

  1. Gather all ingredients and preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. Beat butter, ¾ cup confectioners’ sugar, and salt in a large bowl with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy, 2–3 minutes.
  3. Mix in the ground almonds and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Gradually blend in the sifted flour until dough forms.
  5. Shape the dough into 1-inch balls (or crescents) using about 1 teaspoon per cookie; place 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
  6. Bake for 15–20 minutes, until edges are just golden.
  7. Cool for about 15 minutes, then roll cookies in remaining confectioners’ sugar.
  8. Serve and enjoy!

Notes
