Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour

  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ⅓ cup powdered sugar, or more as needed


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Beat butter, ½ cup powdered sugar, and vanilla together until smooth.
  3. Gradually mix in flour, pecans, and salt until fully combined.
  4. Roll dough into walnut-sized balls and place 2 inches apart on baking sheets.

  6. Let cookies cool briefly on baking sheets, then transfer to wire racks.
  7. Roll warm cookies in powdered sugar, then cool completely.
